The following game highlights are from the Chatfield Sport Desk.

Wathen Scores Twice in a Loss to Columbine

The Chatfield varsity ice hockey team played hard, but suffered a 7-4 loss to Columbine on Dec. 15. The Chargers played strong but defense couldn’t hold up the back line, eventually costing them the game.

Tyler Wathen got 2 goals to lead the Chargers and had the play of the game when he circled the goal and went up to the dot to shoot and score.

Chargers Get "Steamed"

Despite a good effort coming off the holiday break, the Chatfield varsity ice hockey team fell to the Steamboat Springs Sailors, 4-1, on Jan. 6th.

The Chargers kept up their end by pushing through the entire game to challenge their top competition and the team played their first game this season without any penalties. The Chargers worked well on their power play, scoring their goal in a 5 on 3 situation.

Hunter Beckett was recognized as Chatfield's Player of the Game with his high energy and constant effort.
