The Chatfield varsity ice hockey team split a pair of games to open the month of February, defeating Liberty, 4-1, on Feb. 2nd, and coming back the following night and falling to Chaparral, 6-2.

In the victory, the Chargers played hard and with a lot of energy. Highlights included a goal by Calvin Knight in which he went to the ice, jumped the puck over an opponent's stick, and buried a hard shot. Defender Max Heupel also added a goal from the blue line.

Kayden Dormer scored both Chatfield goals, and skated well throughout.
